< back
from 9/4/2026 to 12/4/2026 i went to prague waow !!
the first day was mainly just plane, as the flight was at 7pm or so. during boarding two women started shouting and harassing staff?? so they got kicked off the plane and our flight was delayed.. i think they were complaining about the seating, eitherway they were a bit weird. the flight itself wasnt the worst, however there was heavy terbulance at the start which isnt fun. after arround an hour an a half we reached prague airport and we only had carry on luggage so little waiting for such. however due to brexit we had to use none eu passport control which had an absurdly long line.. yes my mum and her friend only have japanese passport so even without brexit they would have to go through, however i have british passport so.. and i was and still am too young to vote i did not ask for this.
after we went on taxi, the taxi driver was an interesting guy. we said this was the third time visiting prague (it was my second time, but they went before i was born presumable), and the taxi driver was so concerned why would we go.. he then started talking politics, well not too much but theres a guy in czech politics, some minister who is japanese and jokingly said to set up my mums friend and the minister.. overall interesting taxi driver, the radio which was playing had good music.
we reached the hotel and it was chill, it was in žižkov and apperntly theres a tv tower there with statues of babies climbing it.. AND THE BABIES DONT HAVE FACES BRO ITS TERRIFYING WHY DID THE PUPLIC APPREICATE THEM SO MUCH. the hotel had weird lighting where the lights hung fronm the celing but the wire of the light came from the walls. overall decsent place to stay.

now second day, first we went to some cafe for breakfast and it was pretty nice. then we went to the old square by riding a tram obv.. they should add trams everywhere this is so convinient wtf. and we saw the clock. i took a shitty photo of the clock and tbh it did not move much at all. my camera is like max 4cm long btw its tiny.
from the old square we then went to a mucha museamn which was nice, the images there were pretty. we got free tickets as well as my mum bought something at an evil tourist trap. afterwards we went to some meat shop or something an ate lunch, it was descent but had too many pickles in it and i dont like pickles.
after we went down charles bridge where we took photos. my mum forced me to recreate childhood photos of when we went when i was like 2years old.. i promised my irl friend to buy him a lifesize charles bridge for his birthday, unfortunatly there was only the real one and its not for sale.
after crossing charles bridge i went on my Monster hunt.. ahh my favourite anime yes yes and i was able to photograph both the three oastriges and three storks waow yayayay, i will share photos once i know how an sd card works. i think after this we went back to the hotel and didnt do much after.. oh yeah it snowed on this day which was insane i havent seen snow in years (lie i saw snow in switzerland however i have seen no snow in the uk for many a year)

third day !! we went to a cafe again (we visted many cafes..) and went onto a tram to see the castle. like the day before i was forced to recreate childhood photographs.. bro free me. the castle itself was nice, the cathedral wasnt open until 1pm so as we visted in the morning we had to return in the afternoon. we went to other areas though, such as the golden street and some othe rbuilding i forgot the name of. overall it was pretty nice however like any tourist location there were many tour groups and somehow had the ability to block every entrance ever.
after visting the castle in the morning we went to a monastry, forgot the name but its the closer one not the further one to continue my Monster photoshooting. it was pretty nice and there were large libaries which were especially nice, however you could not enter, only photograph. (i might be lying abt this timing this could be on the second day i have poor memory)
we went on a tram back accross the river i believe and this is around when the protest start, my friend from the area told me beforehand that there would be a protest. i think it was pro-lifers mainly.. bro however they werent too much of a bother. i took a photograph of them exiting charles bridge. there was also many poliece and also photographed such. there was also a small group of protesters around 10 or so and there was like double the number of poliece guarding them compare to the amount of protesters.
after this we went to the further monastry which was the main one reccomended to visit from other Monster enthusiasts. however it was closed, idk why, but we could still photograph the exterior which was nice. we then returned back on a tram towards the castle once more to visit the cathedral.
i took some espeecially nice photos of the cathedral, however i dont have anything to read an sd card so no photos uploaded yet.. the stained glass is truelly lovely yes yes. as its tourist place there was huge queue for entry though but it should be expected.
we then went to a buffet type restraunt for dinner which had some pretty good food. i drank beer finally yes the main reason many people go to prague, however i have an alchol intolorance,, :( so i turned brightred and headache afterwards. life is so unfair.

fourth and final day was alright. once more we went to a cafe for breakfast, and set out. the national museamn was apprently free this day so we arrived waiting like 30 minutes early. the museam was nice and many thigs to read however my mum kept making me rush and i couldnt read everything. the building of the museam itself was also very pretty an i took many photographs. in the museamn there was a section on rocks.. hmm feeding worms rocks. there was also a second detached building which had more stuff on the recsent history of czechia, 20th centry stuff which was very interesting to read.
after this we went to the vietnam area for lunch which is very interesting an unexpected icl. its like chinatown but like flat and really really large like a seprate town. you could just live in that area speaking no czech and only vietnamese. i did not take photographs however i cannot really describe it well. the food was good though, cash only however so my mums friend had to run to get cash to pay. poliece suddnely started appearing which was weird but we left the area and went back into the central area of prague.
and so we went to another cafe.. i believe we went to atleast 2 cafes each day, and i dont drink coffee or tea (as they both have awful aftertastes) so cafes i just sit there and do nothing..
after the cafe we went back to the hotel to get our bags, suitcase etc and went off towards the airport. prague airport is interesting as its security isnt at the entrance of the shop area but rather the entrance of the gates. we waited like 2-3 hours until it was time for our flight. and so we were on our way home. this time i wante dto try to sleep but my ears really hurt and i could not. midflight some guy was getting married or announced his marrage or something.. idfk. anddd we were back in the uk and had to go home..
overally a nice trip and prague has many very nice buildings it was pretty good and it snowed as well highlight of trip. didnt meet my friend who live there however meaning i did not recieve my metal pole :( i doubt aairport security would let me bring a metal pole home though..
i will add photographs eventurally however i still dont know how an sdcaard works
